Asbury Park held their first ever Saint Patrick’s Day Parade and they couldn’t have picked a more beautiful day. On a bright, sunny afternoon thousands all decked out in green showed up to watch the parade. They lined the route from the parade start near the Wonder Bar, down Ocean Avenue to Cookman Avenue and onto Main Street.

All the parade favorites were there. Police and fire departments blaring their horns and sirens, high school bands from Asbury Park and Neptune, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, bagpipers and brave veterans. And zombies. The New Jersey Zombie Walk recently retook the Guinness World Record for World’s Largest Gathering of Zombies so it was nice to see them here.

Check out the whole photo gallery here, and see the video of parts of the parade (including the zombies!) after the photos.
