Has it landed yet? The Millville Meteor, Mike Trout, the best player in Major League Baseball, seems to just keep getting better. The NJ native and Los Angeles Angel  made the news again yesterday when he hit a 489 foot home run yesterday off the Kansas City Royals’ Jason Vargas. It was the longest home run this season so far. In fact ESPN said it was the longest home rum by an American League player since they started keeping track of home run distances in 2006.

“I squared it up. I definitely barreled it,” Trout said. “I was trying to put a good swing on it and got a pitch I could hit. I’m always looking fastball and reacted. I got a heater.”

Way to go Mike! At only 22 we can only ask. What’s next?
