Supermoon – Larger than usual Full Moon – July 12 2014

The Supermoon was back this past weekend! A Supermoon occurs when the moon is closer to the earth than usual and appears about 12 percent larger in the sky than usual. It can be seen from anywhere in the world and can be up to 30 percent brighter than the normal full moon. The picture above and below are of the July 12, 2014 Supermoon.
