Homemade corn dogs, bacon-wrapped hot dogs, the best onion rings we’ve ever had… need we go on?
OK, we’ll go on. Their menu says the dogs are locally sourced and boiled in beer. They are very large and very very tasty! We got a plain dog with chili and you can see how chunky this chili is. They use Martin’s potato rolls and they were perfectly moist and big enough to absorb all the juice from the giant dog and large portion of chili.
You can see all the dogs we tried below. The Death Dog is at 1:00 and it’s a bacon-wrapped frank that’s deep fried until the bacon is nice and crispy. At 11:00, you can see the other plain dog that we got with grilled onions.
My favorite was the house made corn dog! The batter was SO crispy and coated on there pretty thickly. Oh man, it was so delicious I can still taste it. I ate it first because it looked so delicious and it was so big that I had to take it easy on the rest of the dogs. Luckily, Ed wasn’t deterred by the large dogs.
The most surprising item of the day was the onion rings!
These rings were very spicy and were actually darker than a regular onion ring because of all the spice in the batter. They were amazing!! If you like onion rings, you’ve got to go check these out.
