Every year the Scott Kelby Wordwide Photowalk offers photographers of all levels the chance to take part in something global. Once a year, on a single day, photographers gather in organized walks all around the world to share their love of photography. This year will mark the 7th year and we have participated in almost all of them. It is a great way to meet other photographers and share techniques and tips and maybe make some new friends.
The walk organizer will usually set up a Flickr page for your walking group to put up your favorite pictures. There will usually be a small prize for the group but check with your walk leader. You also will pick your favorite picture and submit it direct on the Scott Kelby site for a chance at the big prizes.
And it is free!
