National Pizza Month is fast coming to a close and we’re hot on the trail of some delicious slices. Ralph’s Pizzeria in Nutley has some of those great pizzas that make northern New Jersey so famous for thin crust pizza.
We ordered two pies. The classic Margherita pizza came with crushed plum tomatoes, fresh Mozzarella and basil.
The fresh Mozzarella was thickly sliced and was particularly delicious against the acidity of the plum tomatoes.
This is Ralph’s regular thin crust. They also offer an extra thin crust which we didn’t try. It must be impossibly thin!
Our second pie was on an extra thick crust with pepperoni and sausage.
This was amazing. It came well-done and the extra crust added a nice crunch below the cheese and toppings. The sausage had a nice herbal quality.
Ralph’s consistently gets awarded Best Pizza around Essex County and throughout New Jersey. It’s obvious why. Even on a Thursday night they were extremely busy with take out and dine in customers.
Here are all our pictures from our Ralph’s Pizzeria experience. Definitely try them out if you’re in the area!
