Yesterday thousands of zombies once again invaded Asbury Park for the annual New Jersey Zombie Walk. It was another great event that was lots of fun. The event was in jeopardy as rain, heavy at times, lasted until early afternoon. However about an hour or so before the walk began the sun started shining and it turned out to be quite a nice afternoon. Zombies of all ages lumbered down the boardwalk in the search of fresh brains. Brains were more for just eating this year as the theme was “Grey Matters” to raise awareness of brain cancer.
Alice walked with our niece Natalie as teacher and her nerd student complete with pencil right through the nose. I stuck to the roll as photographer as I always do. I have photographed the event for many years now but gave myself the challenge to take all pictures in black & white this time. Not take color pictures and then decide to turn them to black and white n processing but to actually set the camera up that way. No chance for color.
All in all I was quite happy with that decision. It adds an additional menacing quality in my opinion. If you see yourself below and want a copy of the picture you can e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
