Brick Mower At The Grand Victory – Photos

On a bone chilling Tuesday night we headed over to The Grand Victory in Brooklyn to check out New Brunswick band Brick Mower. Leave it to us to travel to New York to see a New Jersey band. It was the first time we were able to catch them live despite their having an active show schedule. I know… shame on us. Somehow, they always managed to announce New Jersey shows on nights that we already had tickets for something else!

We were treated to a great set that made traveling out in the cold worth it. The band is really tight live and the songs are powerful. They had a little trouble with the bass drum in the venue’s kit traveling around the stage.  Once they rigged a series of heavy stage equipment together to make the drum stay in place, they were able to rock without stopping to adjust between every song.

If you haven’t picked up their recent LP Teenage Graceland do so now. It is one of our favorites of 2014.

We’re hoping to see them again and somewhere closer to home!  Check out our pictures from the show:
