This past year saw a remarkable amount of great music coming out of New Jersey. We are really going through a period that can be called an abundance of riches. There is a lot of talent and creativity here in the Garden State. We cannot wait to hear what the artists of the state have in store for 2015.

ALBUMS OF THE YEAR

brick mowerTeenage Graceland: Great indie punk out of New Brunswick.

Joe Cirotti Mood Swings: A stunning album of heartfelt folk on love and loss but also of hope. “Drunk Again” is a love song for the ages.

The PorchistasShoot It At The Sun: A fun, eclectic concept album with outer space as the theme. Every listen to the record reveals new discoveries.

Those MockingbirdsPenny The Dreadful: A band at the top of their game making one hell of a true kick-you-in-the-ass rock record. “I Feel Like I Died” is one of my favorite songs this year.

WreathsWreaths: Is it fuzz, drone, space, experimental, avant-garde? Call it what you will this album is an incredible, dreamlike listening experience.
