Have you tried Talula’s in Asbury Park yet? The pizza bar opened in November and you simply must try their sourdough bread and pizza crust.
Yes, you read that correctly…. sourdough pizza crust.
This is the Beekeeper’s Lament. It comes with toppings of tomato sauce, hot Calabrian soppressata, mozzarella and local honey. We’ve had a few pizzas lately with honey and we’re big fans of this trend!
Every morning, they make their own bread and pizza crusts from scratch and it’s chewy and delicious.
We also tried their Spud Mackenzie pie with garlic mashed potatoes, mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, Benton’s bacon and buttermilk.
This one was quite different because of the meat and potato toppings but it was still really good.
We can’t wait to go back and try more pies!
We also got their Bread + Butter appetizer and you must get this so you can taste this amazing sourdough in its true form. We strongly considered getting a second order of this! It comes with herbed butter and honey olive oil.
The space has a bar and a variety of seating arrangements (individual tables and counters).
