The ‘You Don’t Know Jersey Burger’ Makes Debut at Steve’s Burgers Today!

This Saturday marks a very special day in the history of You Don’t Know Jersey. Five years ago on May 2nd 2010 we published our very first post. Five years of bringing you the best restaurants, music and places to visit. The best of New Jersey. It has been a blast and we thank you for coming along.

To celebrate our anniversary, we asked one of our favorite burger places to help us create our very first namesake food. Steve’s Burgers in Garfield makes a simply fantastic burger so they were an easy choice. May also happens to be National Burger Month so our joining of our forces to bring this burger to life was just meant to be.

Fresh, never frozen, beef grilled to order makes Steve’s burgers juicy and tender. We got in touch with them and asked if they would make a version for us with that classic New Jersey staple: pork roll. Take their already delicious cheeseburger and basically Jersey-fy it!

We got to sample it before they went on the menu today and trust us…this is an amazing burger. We can’t wait for you to try it, too!

Since it’s our 5th anniversary, the burger will cost $5.50. Add a side of fries for $2.25 more and you’re set! Steve’s also has their own brand of sodas in glass bottles. We think a Steve’s grape soda would go great with a YDKJ burger!

We’re going to be celebrating our first day on the menu tonight at 6:00pm. Join us until Steve’s closes at 8:00pm. Make sure you bring cash, too. Steve’s is cash only.

They’re right on Route 46 West in Garfield. GPS systems have a hard time finding their actual street address so they recommend typing in 99 Dye Ave., Garfield, to find them.

They’re open 10:30am to 8:00pm Monday through Saturday.
