We’ve been excited about Delran’s Carli Lloyd before when she impressed us with her skills in the Summer Olympics but this year’s Women’s World Cup made her a household name. Three other NJ women helped lead the US Women’s National Team (USWNT) to victory this year: Christine Rampone from Point Pleasant, Heather O’Reilly from East Brunswick and Tobin Heath from Basking Ridge.

There will be a ticker tape parade for them on Friday in NYC.  The parade route is called The Canyon of Heroes and it runs from Battery Park and goes up Broadway to City Hall.  It starts at 11:00am.
