Peach Picking Time at Demarest Farms

The most wonderful time of the year for me is when I begin hearing that the peaches are ready for picking yourself at Demarest Farms in Hillsdale. For $14 you get a bag to put your peaches in and a wagon ride out to the peach trees.  Each additional person is just $5 for the wagon ride.  If you want more bags, they are $9 each.

$9 for a bag of about 20 peaches is a great price! Plus, you get to walk around the farm and see the rest of their acreage while you’re coming and going.

This farmer was picking snapdragons for their shop.  The shop is a great place to come even if you don’t want to pick your own fruit.  They have a giant salad bar, a hot food area including rotisserie chickens, fresh made donuts and of course lots of their own produce.

In the fall, they have a corn maze along with pumpkin and apple picking.  Go get some peaches for yourself next weekend and taste the best part of summer!
