Alice and I are huge fans of Halloween. In fact, we got married on October 31st. Last year we decided to spend our anniversary at Asbury Park and part of the reason was the Local Legends Halloween Bash cover show at the Wonder Bar. Featuring such awesome New Jersey bands as The Battery Electric as The Misfits, Only Living Boy as Radiohead, and Amy Malkoff & The Moonshines as Black Sabbath, it was an incredible evening. A sellout and one of the best shows of the year. So, how does Christine Feola and Dark City Entertainment attempt to top that this year? With one hell of a lineup.
The Bouncing Souls
New Brunswick’s always excellent Screaming Females will headline the show dubbed “Convention Hell” on Saturday October 31st inside Convention Hall. They will be covering the Los Angeles seminal punk band X. Also on the stacked roster is members of The Parlor Mob and The Bouncing Souls covering Hall & Oates, Lost in Society covering one of my favorite bands The Clash, members of Ether Sunday and Yawn Mower as Nirvana, Dentist as Green Day and Des & The Swagmatics, who killed it last year covering Prince, as Stevie Wonder!
