It’s an exciting day in Millville today. Dignitaries could be lining up. Newspapermen might be busy typing out a special edition. A small parade might even be in order. The whole town is abuzz, for sure. Jim’s Lunch is back from summer vacation!
Some lunch places you go to because they’re nearby and others you have to seek out. Jim’s Lunch is worth seeking out. Their burgers with Jim’s Special Sauce are famous for a reason.
They’re small burgers so you can stock up on two or three and still have room for sides. Their famous sauce is beefy, lightly spiced and has big pieces of onion in it. It’s a little thinner than regular gravy so it soaks into the bun and makes everything soft and easy to eat. It’s magical. You can also get the sauce on any other sandwich including a hot dog.
Everything is improved with that sauce. Even a really great grilled hot dog is better with sauce. A steak sandwich is made special by it, too.
Jim’s is cash only and closes from Memorial Day through Columbus Day. That’s why Millville loves Columbus Day so much. Their favorite place to eat is back in business after their annual summer vacation!
They have tons of daily specials of which every one we’ve tried have been terrific. We’ve had their intensely creamy and delicious mac and cheese.
Their prime rib is amazing and very well priced!
All the grilling is done right in front of you. You can even watch from the window outside.
Jim’s Lunch is so good that Ed makes sure to head down to his company’s headquarters in Millville as much as possible from Columbus Day through the winter up until Memorial Day until they close again. If you’re looking for a fantastic place to eat and are anywhere near the farthest south you can get in New Jersey without being in Cape May, you definitely need to check out Jim’s Lunch. Even hometown boy Mike Trout is a big fan!
