West Orange must feel a little more proud of Commander Scott Kelly today since he’s now the person who’s spent the most cumulative days in space than any other U.S. Astronaut.  He’s been up in the International Space Station for 383 days!  And, he’s not scheduled to come back until March 2, 2016.  If he makes it to March 2nd, he’ll have been up in space for 522 days.

Pictured on the right, above, Commander Kelly was born in Orange and raised in West Orange.  He’s making all of New Jersey proud today, though!
