Our friends Deena and Jon Fried, of the beloved Hoboken band The Cucumbers, have just released a wonderful holiday song “Light Shines Through” as we enter this busy time of year. The original song was recorded with the Hoboken Holiday All-Star Band featuring Julio Fernandez (lead guitar), Ed Fogarty (guitar), Gary Frazier (bass), Dave Stengel (drums), Tom Vincent (mandolin), Annalee Van Kleeck & Abbe Rivers (background vocals).
What makes the new single, recorded at legendary Water Music Recording Studios in Hoboken, considerably special is that all proceeds will be donated to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. What a great idea that at this time of year you can help some people in need while enjoying this heartfelt tune.
