We’re very proud of our Jersey girls who have been the backbone of the US Women’s Soccer team and Carli Lloyd has been part of that NJ-super-team for ten years.  She’s a Rutgers grad and she grew up in Delran Township.

She won FIFA’s World Player of the Year today for her outstanding play this year. She’s pictured here with Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi.

Carli is especially remembered this year for her 13-minute hat trick that won the 2015 Women’s World Cup final match. Lloyd was up against Aya Miyama of Japan and Germany’s Celia Sasic for the award.

Congratulations, Carli!
