Happy Mothers Day to YDKJ’s mom, Beverly Magdziak!
She’s Ed’s mom, Alice’s mother-in-law and she calls herself Don’s “adopted mother” since she’s known him for so long. That covers all three co-founders’ relationships with her so it’s official… she wins the YDKJ Mom title.
We aren’t sure whether you realize it yet but she comes along with us on a lot of YDKJ-related trips. She shops with us in all of New Jersey’s great downtowns. We even snuck a picture of her in our Pitman article. See her reflection in Just Cookies?
When Ed, Alice and Beverly were grabbing coffee in Chatham one fall afternoon, we were dubbed “The Happy Trio” by a resident who passed us on the street. The name stuck and we’ve been calling ourselves by that name ever since. She makes all our trips around the state more fun and it shows!
She comes to restaurants with us all the time. She’s so used to us having to take pictures of the food that she automatically waits before she digs in when we’re eating out. Here she is with us celebrating Dutch Kings Day recently at Nik’s Wunderbar in Whitehouse Station.
She even reps the site by wearing our logo!
