We’re highlighting all the New Jersey Olympians this summer because there are so many to watch for. Sam Ojserkis will cox the Rowing Men’s Eight team for the United States in Rio.
Sam was born in Pomona and grew up in Linwood. He graduated from the University of Washington in 2012 and got a graduate degree at the University of Cambridge. Sam was the 2012 Pac-12 Scholar Athlete of the Year. Sam lists his most memorable sporting achievement as sweeping every course record at the 2012 IRA Championships and watching his roommates/teammates win their respective events after not competing for four years. He currently trains in Princeton.
Rowing events start on August 6th and conclude on August 13th.
We’ll keep you apprised of when each NJ athlete will compete so stay tuned to YDKJ for all the NJ Olympian news you can handle!
