We recently visited the Morristown Farmers Market in the pouring rain. Boy, were we glad every vendor had a nice roomy canopy! The farmers market couldn’t be easier to find since it’s right downtown in the large parking lot behind the corner of Morris Street and Spring Street, and off Dumont Place.
Farmers who are regularly scheduled in Morristown are Alstede Farms, Grossman Farm, Jeff’s Organic Produce, Michisk Farms and Union Hill Farm.
Jersey corn doesn’t get much fresher and sweeter than this!
Other non-produce vendors include Bakers Bounty, Ester’s Treats, Glenmalure Farm, Griggstown Quail Farm, Pickle-Licious, Shore Catch, Stefan’s Specialty Foods, Tassot Apiaries, Valley Shepherd Creamery and Villa Milagro Vineyards. We got Stefan’s delicious pierogis which we’ve tried before when we see them at the Montclair Farmers Market on Saturdays. We also picked up crimini and shitake mushrooms that went into some tacos later in the week.
Everyone we talked to at the market was so happy that some people came in the pouring rain that we felt extra welcomed. I’m sure they’re just as nice when the sun is shining, too.
Check out all the pictures from our rainy visit to the Morristown Farmers Market and go check it out for yourself next Sunday!
