Kelsi Worrell, a NJ Olympian from Westampton

We’re highlighting all the New Jersey Olympians this summer because there are so many to watch for. Kelsi Worrell will compete in the butterfly and freestyle swimming events for the United States.

Born in Voorhees Township, Kelsi Worrell grew up in Westampton Township. She attended Rancocas Valley Regional High School in Mount Holly, where she graduated as part of the class of 2012.  She is the daughter of Erica and Robert Worrell. Kelsi is the oldest of six children, who are all competitive swimmers. She enjoys knitting, baking and scuba diving.

She just graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in Exercise Science.

In 2015, she became the first women to swim the 100m butterfly in under 50 seconds.

The women’s butterfly and freestyle swimming events run from August 5th through the 15th.
