Court Tavern Countess Brittney Dixon continues to outdo herself. Last week she held her annual Zombie Party which proved to be one of the most fun events the New Brunswick music scene has experienced all year. And now – for Halloween – Dixon pulls out all the stops. First up, Thursday October 27th, DJs Melo Drama and The Effects of the Phoenix Butterfly host a Halloween dance party that starts at 9pm. Admission is only $5 with a portion of the proceeds benefitting The Pride Center of NJ and the Mazzoni Center which both promote the health and well-being of the LGBTQ community.

On Friday October 28th, Dixon hosts her now-famous Covers Show where local favorites perform as their favorite bands. This weekend we get Julius Seizure as System of a Down while members of The Dark Matters play the music of Deftones. No More Pain teams up with The House of Thieves and Mind Riot to bring Soundgarden’s epic bombast to The Court’s stage while we get Hot Lips donning the makeup for a KISS set, and Map of Rome plays Weezer. Finally, David Dinage and friends cover Cage the Elephant.

The weekend caps off with the Court Tavern’s Annual Halloween BASH on Saturday October 29th. One of the region’s finest rock bands – Chevonne and the Fuzz – is at the top of the bill, supported by Comb the Desert, Know Your Enemy, Judge Drain, and Who Killed Marilyn?.

So if you’re not sure what you’re doing this weekend, come to one of the shows at The Court Tavern. If you’re not sure which one, come to all three! While there are going to be a bevy of options all across the state, Dixon & Co. have once again put together a full weekend of standout events.
