We’ve been hearing from more and more friends and readers that they’d like to know where we’re going each week so they can join us. We get invited to events, hear about fun exhibits and are interested in lots of different places all the time. Here’s what is on our radar this week. We’re on vacation this week so we’re counting on you to get out and see all these cool events. Support local arts or get outside and do something educational and active!

Petty’s Island Walking History Tour

Saturday, October 29th from 10am to noon, Petty’s Island

The Camden County Historical Society (CCHS) and New Jersey Audubon Society (NJAS) are sponsoring a Petty’s Island History Walking Tour on October 29, 2016 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Preregistration is required. Space is limited and will be assigned on a first come/first serve basis. To register, please contact Kelly Wenzel at kelly.wenzel@njaudubon.org. Camden County Historical Society board member and Pettys Island historian Robert Shinn will guide the tour along the island’s south east shore to its southern tip and a vista of Philadelphia.

That’s right, ghosts and ghouls! We’re taking over Halloween 2016 as the Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market fall edition moves to a TWO DAY Halloween Extravaganza! We’ll be welcoming over 200 different DIY vendors and ten different food trucks each day!

We’ll be hosting this grand event at the Historic Roebling Machine Shop building (675 South Clinton Ave, Trenton, NJ) and we’ll be punching you square in the face with 200+ vendors, a dozen food trucks, tons of vinyl, sweet vintage gear, original art, horror memorabilia, handmade jewelry, vintage toys and a whole lot more!
