Blackbeard Ramen, Cliffside Park – Review

Blackbeard Ramen is an amazing little ramen place in Cliffside Park. And we’re experiencing ramen weather right now, for sure!

Their gyoza are made fresh daily and you can certainly tell.  They were divine little steamed pockets of joy.

We tried two bowls of ramen and the first was Green Curry.  It has traditional Japanese and Thai flavors together to make a really great spicy broth. Ed got this one and I was a little jealous once he let me taste that green pork and fish broth.

I had the Tonkotsu which came with pork and vegetable broth and was topped with fried onions, bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms, nori and a pork cheek called chashu.  The pork was tender and a little crispy on the outside.  I ate and drank everything in that giant bowl.

Check out all the pictures from our visit to Blackbeard Ramen and go check them out if you can thaw out your car enough tonight!
