Snow in New Jersey – Traditional Walk

We had our first larger snowfall on Saturday. Alice and I woke to the snow coming down as we got ready to attend the DePaul versus Seton Hall men’s basketball game at the Prudential Center in Newark. As reports in the area were for 2 inches we were surprised, unpleasantly, that not only was it still snowing when the game was over but that it had increased in intensity. The snow continued into evening which spoiled plans we had to attend a game night friends were hosting in Clifton. As we love our card and board games this was a disappointment.

This left us with one option. Whenever it snows and the streets are not great for traveling we have a tradition that we have been doing for many years. We take a walk for Chinese food to Happy Ming in Bloomfield. There is something peaceful in a walk through the neighborhood that is blanketed with a fresh snowfall. I always bring along my camera on these walks as the scenery is always picturesque.

Besides their General’s Tso’s Chicken is amazing.
