We’ve been hearing from more and more friends and readers that they’d like to know where we’re going each week so they can join us. We get invited to events, hear about fun exhibits and are interested in lots of different places all the time. Here’s what is on our radar this week. We can’t guarantee that we’ll go to all these places but there’s a good chance we’ll be at some of them. Support local arts or get outside and do something with us!

Light of Day Family Concert-New Date!

Saturday, February 4th at 3pm, Crossroads, Garwood

After snow delayed the originally scheduled date, New Jersey’s Crossroads (http://xxroads.com/) music venue will host a Light of Day family concert on a new date – Saturday, February 4, extending the Light of Day series of concerts on the Jersey Shore and in north Jersey early in beyond the traditional January run.

The lineup is filled with kid-friendly New Jersey based artists, anchored by The Campfire Flies (http://facebook.com/thecampfireflies). This new band features acoustic instruments (guitars, mandolin, banjo & accordion) layered harmony and great songs, pooling the talent of some NJ’s most acclaimed original groups (The Cucumbers, Speed The Plough and The Thousand Pities).

We spent a weird weekend with Bryan Conner, Mike Derby, and the Accidental Seabirds and the result is Ladybug House Volume 3. Come celebrate the release and get weird with The Moonbees, Accidental Seabirds, and Laketon at Asbury Park Yacht Club!

Pinelands Brewing Company Brew Days

Tuesday, February 7th from 5-8pm, Pinelands Brewing Company, Tuckerton

Pour It Forward at Pinelands Brewing Co. on Tuesdays! Every month, a local nonprofit will be chosen to benefit from the proceeds of the action in the Tap Room. In February, we’ll be showing a lot of love for local & national organizations focused on preservation.

February 21 – Standing Rock Sioux Tribe
February 28 – NJ Clean Energy
