We recently took a stroll around Garden Street in Hoboken on Saturday morning to check out the Garden Street Farmers Market. It’s open from 9am to 2pm and it’s chock full of local vendors of fruits and veggies, packaged goods, plants and prepared foods. Here’s what we found in our late Spring visit before most of the best summer fruit and veg is out on the market.
The cutest thing all day was the little honey bee doggie named Steffi who was helping sell honey and bee-related products from Oh Honey Apiaries.
The Squirrel and the Bee had great looking baked good that were gluten-free, dairy-free and also free of refined sugar. Wow, that’s a lot of things that they make easy to avoid if you need to.
Pickle Licious was there. Are they at all the North Jersey farmers markets? We hope so because they’re awesome. We picked up sauerkraut and Krelish for our weekend BBQ.
Stony Hill Farms from Chester had all the early veggies we could handle. We got mushrooms, onions and eyed up all the asparagus.
Along with delicious pasta sauce, Hoboken Farms had an incredible looking selection of breads. We didn’t partake but the smell was enough to tell us that we should come back for more.
And, speaking of baked goods… everything at Schnackenberg’s looked worth trying. They had donuts, muffins and coffee from their famous Hoboken cafe on sale.
Check out all the pictures from our visit to the Garden Street Farmers Market in Hoboken and go check it out for yourself soon:
