We attended an fund raising event Sunday evening at The Porchistas Home Studio in Montclair. Our friends Liv Lombardi and Matthew Smith of Hodera are hitting the road with an acoustic tour out to New Mexico and were raising some money to help them on their journey. Two other acts were on the intimate show’s roster. Union’s low-fi folk band Fire is Motion and Jenna Murphy from indie pop band prim.
All the music was amazing and Murphy positively blew us away. It was the first time we had been able to catch her live and what a first impression. The acoustic set was emotionally charged, beautiful and haunting. She had everyone in attendance rapt. We can’t wait to catch her again soon with the full band.
