Every July 4th in Clifton there is a wonderful display of of patriotism that pays honor to the men and women who have served in the Armed Forces. Over 2,000 American flags are lined up along the roadway on the grounds of City Hall.
It is always a place of reflection for me as I think of my father who served during the Korean War. He did not see combat served his country as a radio officer in Japan. As he was a Clifton resident for a large part of his life, including his time raising a family, perhaps it is time he gets a flag here.
