Here’s what is on our radar this week. We can’t guarantee that we’ll go to all these places but there’s a good chance we’ll be at some of them. Saturday, September 16th at 10am, Great Falls Welcome Center, Paterson
Please join the Paterson HPC for a guided bus tour of some of Paterson’s most notable historic churches. This tour will be guided by HPC Executive Director Gianfranco Archimede. Churches on the tour include St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Bethel AME, United Presbyterian Church, and the former Masonic Temple.
$10.00 per person. Seating is limited! Please call ahead to reserve your seats! The tour will meet at THE GREAT FALLS WELCOME CENTER, 65 MCBRIDE AVE. EXT., PATERSON, NJ 07501 (across the street from the Great Falls Overlook Park). The Montclair Fashion Show Bigger and Better than Ever. Montclair Fashion Show 2017 will take place Sunday, Sept 17 from 4-8 PM at the Wellmont Theater. The show has grabbed the eye of international beauty giant Paul Mitchell. Paul Mitchell is sponsoring the event to support small business and community spirit. The Fashion show will be raising awareness and funds for SAVE of Essex and S.O.F.I.A., rape and domestic violence resource centers, respectively, headquarter’ed in Montclair. The highly anticipated runway show includes looks from leading area retailers and designers in ready-to-wear, active wear, evening, men’s and avant garde categories. Tickets start at $10 general admission and are available at participating boutiques and at Eventbrite.com. The Wellmont Theater is located at 5 Seymour Street. VIP Front Row and Second Row seating will be available for $50-$55, available on Eventbrite.com. VIP seats will include luxurious swag bags with Paul Mitchell curling irons and flat irons at a retail value of $100. First 1,000 guest will receive at the door a travel size pouch of styling products from Paul Mitchell.
This year’s event will also include a hair show and jewelry models, dance and aerial acrobatics from local dance companies and Air Studios. Special guest DJ Prince Hakim Bell, son of Kool & The Gang, will be spinning great music throughout the night. Mara Gourdine, Paul Mitchell Corporate Culture Ambassador, will be hosting The Montclair Fashion Show. Mara serves as a spokesperson for the environmentally friendly, cruelty-free company at public functions, speaking to its 36-year legacy of caring for the planet and giving back to those in need. Doors will open at 4PM at the Wellmont Theater. VIP ticket holders will be seated in the first two rows and allowed line privileges entering the event. Indian Summer 2017 – SEPT 22-24

The organizers of Indian Summer, the Asbury Park Bazaar & the Asbury Park Boardwalk are proud to announce, Indian Summer will return to the north beach at Anchors Bend for a full weekend of music, shopping, food & drinks and a celebration of “Locals Summer”, September 22-24! Friday night will be our free kick off party while Saturday and Sunday will feature two full days of music with doors at noon and live music going till 10pm. Saturday’s show will be headlined by The Parlor Mob with direct support from Rye Coalition while Sunday’s headliner will be Band of Changes featuring Chris Harford, Joe Russo, Robbie Seahag, Scott Metzger, and Dave Dreiwitz.
