Here’s what is on our radar this week. We can’t guarantee that we’ll go to all these places but there’s a good chance we’ll be at some of them. Tenth Annual Asbury Park Zombie Walk
Saturday, October 7th at 4pm, Asbury Park Boardwalk
We’ve come a long way since 2008… the Asbury Park Zombie Walk is celebrating its TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY on Saturday, October 7th! Starting at 10 AM the official Zombie Walk Info Booth and Merchandise Stand will open in the Grand Arcade of Convention Hall. 10 AM is also the beginning of Zombie Makeover time – with the Pro Makeup Artist Alley working their spooky magic inside the Convention Hall. Walk participants are invited to attend in their own makeup or visit the Convention Hall makeup artists for a fee.
Zombie Apocalypse Convention Hell Pre-Party

With all of the zombies invading Asbury Park on Oct 7th during Zombie Walk Dark City Entertainment brings the Zombie Apocalypse Convention Hell Pre-Party to the Wonder Bar! To give you a scare for what is in store during Convention Hell on Oct 28th, the Zombie Apocalypse will have Waiting On Mongo performing as Kool & The Gang, Little Vicious performing as Cream and DJ Tyler Valentine keeping the party going all night long!

The Williams Center Makers Market

On Saturday, October 7, Noon to 5pm, The Williams Center will host a Makers Market with over 20 local artisans selling hand-crafted goods including jewelry, t-shirts, furniture, and much more. Come support local artists and enjoy beer, wine, and music throughout the day.

The second annual New Jersey VegFest will be held on October 7 & 8, 2017 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center with amazing food, speakers, Veg Speed Date and this year we will have a beer garden featuring The Alementary, Bolero Snort Brewery and Cypress Brewing Company!

Group bike ride around Newark, to celebrate and promote better biking in the Brick City! We brought back this annual event two years ago, and this year we hope to grow it even bigger! Come have fun, and show the world that the Brick City is ready to be a great bike city! –Sunday, October 8; tentative rain date Sun. Oct. 15. –Two routes to choose from, 16 miles or a 5-mile Family Route. –In-person registration and sign-in opens 10:00 a.m at Washington Park and CLOSES AT 10:45! –Ride rolls at 11:00 a.m. (Please don’t show up at 11 looking to register!) –Newark Police Department escorts us through the streets. –We ride at a moderate pace and take breaks. It’s not a race, but it probably shouldn’t be the first time you get on a bike this year either! –Generally we gather and celebrate afterward, somewhere near the finish. –REGISTRATION REQUIRED, either online beforehand or in person on Sunday.
