Here’s what is on our radar this week. We can’t guarantee that we’ll go to all these places but there’s a good chance we’ll be at some of them. The Friends’ fall Corn Maze is growing taller each day, and promises to be a challenging course for those willing to step in. The Howell Farm Corn Maze will run Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through October 28. There will be special courtyard activities and games, as well as theme-related exhibits and demonstrations featuring farm animals. Last exit for the corn maze is at 9 p.m.

Fall Fine Arts & Craft at Brookdale Park

Enter the creative world of fine art and fine craft by spending time at the 35th Annual Fine Art and Crafts at Essex County’s Brookdale Park, October 13-14, from 10 am – 5 pm, rain or shine. Ask questions and learn what inspires the creative process of over 150 exhibitors! Co-sponsored by the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs and Rose Squared Productions, Inc., the free-to-the-public show will feature fine artists, photographers and artisans in glass, clay, clothing, leather, wood, jewelry, metal, mixed media and much more. A variety of food and specialty foods will be offered.

Mt. Hebron Cemetery Walking Tour

A 30-acre beauty on the eastern slope of First Mountain, Mt. Hebron Cemetery is the final resting spot of notable residents of Speertown (Upper Montclair) and Cranetown (Montclair) — and a celebrity or two, like Hazel (pictured). Please park on Valley Road near the cemetery entrance at 851 Valley Road, Montclair, NJ as parking within the cemetery may be limited, and meet near cemetery office.
