Want to know where we’re going each week so you can join us? We get invited to events, hear about fun exhibits and are interested in lots of different places all the time. Here’s what is on our radar this week. We can’t guarantee that we’ll go to all these places but there’s a good chance we’ll be at some of them. Support local arts or get outside and do something with us!

An annual holiday tradition for families! Come wander through the first floor of Ringwood Manor, beautifully decorated for the holidays! Brochures and interpretive signs, along with our knowledgeable volunteers, will provide those interested in the history of the site with plenty of information. Just want to ohh and ahh at the gorgeous furnishings or be inspired to create you own Victorian Christmas decorations? Each room will help you instill a sense of Gilded-Age elegance to your own home! Children are given scavenger hunts and can search for a variety of interesting objects throughout the house. Crafters will have hand-made items for sale to help you buy that perfect holiday gift for your loved one!
The quaint Victorian Coffee shop next to the Manor will be open during the event and visitors will be able to purchase light refreshments.
$10 for adults, $8 for seniors & students, $5 for children ages 5-12. Tickets do not need to be purchased in advance- can be purchased at the door.
Saturday, December 1, Trenton
Come to the Old Barracks this December as the 17th Regiment of Infantry returns as they first did in December 1776! This event will commemorate the occupation of Trenton by British troops just weeks prior to the Battle of Trenton, and offer visitors a view into this often misrepresented side of American history.
Throughout the day on Saturday, December 1st, visitors to the Old Barracks will meet reenactors of the 17th Regiment of Infantry as they portray the daily lives of British soldiers. These men will drill, perform musket demonstrations, cook over the outdoor camp kitchen, and more in this unique event that will show a side of the Revolutionary War not often seen before.
Included in regular cost of admission: $10-Adults, $8-Seniors/Students, Free-Children 5 and under/Active Military/Members of the Old Barracks Association.
Parking for this event is free and conveniently located in the small lot directly next to the museum.
