35,000 fans descended on Asbury Park for the second Sea.Hear.Now festival in Asbury Park and were treated to stellar performances by Dave Matthews Band, The Lumineers, Dropkick Murphys, The B-52s, The Struts and many more. You couldn’t have asked for better weather as the stages and the surf were filled with excitement.

New Jersey natives were represented by Sharon Van Etten who was born in Belleville and grew up in Nutley, The B-52s Fred Schneider was born in Newark and Kate Pierson was born in Weehawken, and founding members of The Lumineers Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites got their start in Ramsey. In addition local talent Lowlight and Brick + Mortar took to the stage to the delight of fans of the Asbury Park scene. You have to give the organizers credit for always including local talent each year. After all Bruce Springsteen himself was a “local talent” before breaking big.

Our photographer on the scene, the reverend and respected Jeff Crespi, chronicled the entire event and his full gallery is below.
