Want to know where we’re going each week so you can join us? We get invited to events, hear about fun exhibits and are interested in lots of different places all the time. Here’s what is on our radar this week. We can’t guarantee that we’ll go to all these places but there’s a good chance we’ll be at some of them. Support local arts or get outside and do something with us!

Cape May Holiday Lights Trolley Rides

November 24 through December 31, Cape May

Tours offered nightly Nov 24th- Dec 31st except Thanksgiving and Christmas

Ride through Cape May’s Historic District to see festively decorated inns and homes as guides talk about Victorian Christmas traditions, lead sing-alongs, and play Christmas music. Rides last about 30 minutes.

Rides start at the Washington Street Mall Information Booth, except Nov. 17, when rides start at the Physick Estate.

Tickets $15 adults; $10 children (ages 3-12)

Krampus AP Ginger Bread House Contest

Do you have mad gingerbread skills? DO you have mediocre gingerbread skills? Why not put them to the test this Krampus Asbury park! What are the rules? well, we’re still making them up! But what we are looking for is a bunch of awesome people interested in making some fun things for other people to look at and judge. It can be holiday themed, Krampus themed, monster themed, what ever you like! Just fill out the form to be considered for judging and make sure we get your application for December 1! We will stage your Gingerbread Mansion for you or if you are an Asbury Park Business, we will bring the crowds to your location to see your creation! DM for details! Season of Light

Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday, December 7th, 8th, and 10th, Montclair and Ridgewood

With voices uplifted in joy and celebration, NJCS will present Season of Light in Montclair on Saturday, December 7 at 7:30pm and Sunday, December 8 at 3:00pm. Then, on Tuesday, December 10, we bring the music of the holidays to Ridgewood with a performance at 7:30pm.

All three performances feature the NJCS outreach group, Chanteurs, under the leadership of 35-year member, Jill Guartafierro who has been taking her band of singers throughout northern NJ for ten years, bringing music to libraries, senior centers and nursing homes to audiences which would otherwise be unable to attend our performances. Jill will lead Chanteurs and the entire chorus in a charming rendition of Elizabeth and Bruce Tippette’s Season of Light.
