For a couple of weeks we had been seeing Korean corn dogs popping up on our Instagram feed with much interest. As a huge fan of corn dogs Alice had been wanting to try these out for quite awhile. As March 20th was National Corn Dog Day we thought today was the perfect day to make that happen. One catch. Korean corn dogs are actually made with rice. Super-duper crunchy rice!
Mochinut in Norwood is well known for their sweet, interestingly shaped donuts that look like a beaded necklace. However, they also make incredible Korean corn dogs. We had been drooling since seeing pictures of them.
We decided to get three varieties. The classic plain Korean corn dog with a sugar-added coating, a potato dog with fries added outside, and the half and half which is half mozzarella and half hotdog inside. All were fantastic. Do yourself a favor. Give these a try. We think you’ll love them.
